Are women more likely to suffer from Dry Mouth?

Dry mouth is more common in women than in men. At age 80, “often mouth dryness at night” was reported by 24% and 16% of women and men, respectively.
With increase in age, more people complain of dry mouth, especially at night-time. Conditions that are most commonly associated with dry mouth are burning mouth, not feeling healthy and medicine usage.
Conclusion: Dry mouth is common in older age, its persistence with age is high and its worsening with age progression is common
